Since I was a child I have delved in many forms of art. From designing clothing patterns in elementary school, sewing and actually wearing them! Beyond basic art(jewelery), to Oxy-Acetylene Art welding in my teens, woodworking and household repairs utilizing my creativity. For over 8 years I have been creating jewelry for sale. I am a self-taught artist, one who would rather break the rules; I guess that is why I really enjoy doing abstract designs, ie. Freeform Peyote. Utilizing different sizes, shapes, types and colors of beads really intrigue me. My keen sense of color comes from doing puzzles at an early age with my family. Beaders often consult me for my color coordination. I enjoy teaching any of the basics stitches to new and seasoned jewelry makers. When a client gives me the "ingredients" they want for me to create an item for them, it is the greatest compliment. My first such request was from a bride-to-be, who told me, “Just do what you do, I love it, all”. Hopefully each of my creations have a bit of ‘Me and my joy’ inside every piece. I welcome your comments.

My first contest ~ Beadazzled

Most of you can tell that I am new to this,  In fact, I had entered all that I wanted to earlier only to delete it somehow.  oops.

Anyway, as I was sharing with some of you on a personal level, the items I entered @ Beadazzled Beads in Baltimore.  I am bursting with happiness & very proud, but I felt uncomfortable like I was bragging,  don't want to be a braggart.  Those of you that told me "If you don't show this off, who will.?" or all the encouragement you gave me to post this.  Thank you. 
The Spring Dragonfly piece was an afterthought entry, I just needed to create and add a clasp before taking the items down town.  The White Peyote piece was the one I felt had potential, if only I could finish in time.

Well, I just went downtown to get my pieces, instead she encouraged me to leave them for her to professionally photograph them & post on their website.  I can't wait.  So, I took this with my iPhone.  yes my cell phone and  lighting wasn't very good at all. Gotta love technology. (even if i don't always understand it.)
